FREDERICK, MD – June 9, 2025: The Community Foundation of Frederick County is excited to announce that it awarded more than $513,000 through its Impact Grant program to support projects and initiatives that improve and enhance life in Frederick County.
This year the Community Foundation’s Impact Grants are providing financial support to 50 organizations for projects that have meaningful and direct impact on the residents of Frederick County in a range of areas including the arts, historic preservation, agriculture, health and human services, education, cultural understanding, animal well-being, scholarships, elder care, youth programs, civic causes, and more.
Generous donors create charitable funds with the Community Foundation to support initiatives, activities and projects that are important to them. This year, more than 50 charitable funds distributed grants, including The Frederick Keys Care Fund that granted almost $13,000 to support vital youth programs; The Health Fund for Frederick County Youth that granted more than $50,000 to help children with medical needs; The Robert and Lorraine Stup Fund that granted $40,000 to support individuals experiencing homelessness; and The Richard W. Kanode Fund that distributed almost $110,000 to various causes including animal wellness and youth enrichment programs.
