Founded by wife Bess Todd and her children for Brunswick High School students, preferably those receiving a “B” Award.
Marvin G. Todd owned and operated Todd Van and Storage in Gaithersburg until his retirement in 1990. In the Frederick community he was active in local church and civic affairs, serving as a member of the Brunswick Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge in Brunswick. Mr. Todd’s commitment to the Brunswick community inspired his wife Bess and their children to turn to the Community Foundation to establish The Marvin G. Todd Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Fund provides scholarships to Brunswick High School (BHS) students, with preference given to those students who receive the BHS “B” Award that recognizes outstanding character, academic achievement, community service, extra-curricular activities, and attendance record.
