Founded by parents David and Catherine Baker to provide grants and scholarships.
Emma Baker was a student at Catoctin High School, and an athlete who loved to play softball. She was also a lively fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and active in her church, St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Westminster, Maryland. She liked to read, play games, and travel. Sadly, Emma passed away in late 2012 at age 14 after a battle with brain cancer. Emma’s parents, David and Catherine Baker, created the fund to create a legacy for Emma that reflects her activities and interests, and to share what a wonderful daughter she was and the impact she had on so many people in a short time.
