Founded by the Weinberg Center for the Arts, Inc. in honor of John Healey to support the development, education, and vision of artists in Frederick.

The fund honors John Healey, who served as the executive theater manager at the Weinberg until his retirement in September 2023. During his 17-year tenure, John revitalized the struggling theater, bringing stability and vision to the organization and setting the stage for its remarkable growth and success. Under his leadership, the theater launched the Tivoli Discovery Series, a program allowing patrons to “pay what they want” to attend performances by emerging artists. John was dedicated to making the arts accessible and affordable for all residents of Frederick County.
