Your loved one left an indelible mark in this world. You can help perpetuate that legacy forever through the Community Foundation. Here are some basic options when considering  memorial contributions through the Community Foundation.

• First, we want to help and make a difficult time just a little easier. Please call us and we will help you through the process of determining how best to honor your loved one’s legacy. During business hours please contact our Philanthropic Services team (301) 695-7660 or giving@frederickcountygives.org. For assistance during non-business hours, please contact Betsy Day, President and CEO of the Community Foundation, at 240-315-7462 or Betsy Diehl, Vice President of Philanthropic Services, at 301-606-8678.
• Memorial contributions can be directed to an existing Community Foundation fund or to a new fund created in honor of your loved one.
• We will need some basic information to establish the memorial, including:
  • Name of deceased
  • Your relationship to the deceased
  • Name of the fund to which contributions should be directed
• Once we we have this information, we will create a website address and/or QR code that is specific to the fund that may be included in the obituary or shared electronically as a convenient way for family and friends to make memorial contributions. We are happy to provide suggested language to include in the obituary about how to make memorial contributions.
