Feline Welfare Fund Established at Community Foundation

FREDERICK, MD – April 6, 2020: The Feline Welfare Fund has been established with The Community Foundation of Frederick County and becomes one of its more than 720 component funds.

Founded by Robert and Carolyn Moroney, the fund’s purpose is to support initiatives that foster the welfare of the feline population in Frederick County. Preference will be given but not limited to the humane management of community cat populations through spay/neuter/vaccination programs, responsible placement of adoptable cats in forever homes, and financial assistance for sheltering and fostering initiatives. Programs that provide food and medical supplies to cat owners will also receive support from the fund.

The Moroneys care deeply about these initiatives, and the fund in their name is intended to provide broad impact in supporting these programs.
