Net Zero Nation Fund Announced at Community Foundation

FREDERICK, MD – September 9, 2019: Concerned about environmental issues, carbon footprints, and public education on the issues, Isaac Shapiro has founded The Net Zero Nation Fund with The Community Foundation of Frederick County. It becomes one of more than 720 funds under management.

Grants from the fund will support the start-up and ongoing operations of Net Zero’s nonprofit activities as it strives to educate the public about environmental issues and stimulate individual action to protect the environment, with an emphasis on reducing the causes of climate change.

The Community Foundation is Frederick County’s premier organization for promoting local philanthropy and charitable giving by working with donors to establish funds that create impact in the community.  To date, the Community Foundation has given back more than $64 million throughout Frederick County.
