Jayme Zimmerman Eaves, a 2005 graduate of Walkersville High School, completed her studies at Frederick Community College in 2007 and earned a degree in Agribusiness from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2009.
Jayme is grateful for the support of the Community Foundation, which provided scholarships throughout her education.
“I am very fortunate to have received scholarships that helped with all four years of my undergraduate schooling. I encourage all students in Frederick County to apply each year they are going to college,” she said.
Growing up on her family’s dairy and crop farm in Walkersville, Jayme was inspired by her grandparents and parents to pursue a career in agriculture. Her deep passion for the industry led her to a fulfilling role as a loan officer, where she enjoys working directly with farmers to support and expand their operations.
Jayme is actively involved in the Walkersville FFA Alumni & Supporters and the Walkersville 4-H Club. Together with her husband, she owns and operates a small farming operation with 40 beef cows, while also contributing to her family’s farming operations.
The scholarships allowed her to attend college and earn her bachelor’s degree without the burden of student loans. She received support from multiple funds including The Don and Rosa Rippeon Scholarship Fund, The Glenn E. and Helen H. Biehl Scholarship Fund, The Ralph and Annabelle Lenhart Scholarship Fund, The Audrey Pressler Bauman Scholarship Fund, The Frederick County Agriculture Scholarship Fund, The Edward Grove Sr. Scholarship Fund, and The Robert and Ann Miller Family Fund.
