Community Foundation Announces More Than $1 Million Available in Scholarships; Online Application Opens March 1.

FREDERICK, MD – February 24, 2021: The Community Foundation of Frederick County is pleased to announce its scholarship application is available for the 2021-2022 academic year beginning Monday, March 1, 2021. For the sixth consecutive year, over $1 million is available to students pursuing post-secondary education or vocational training. By completing one general application, students may qualify for more than 250 scholarships. The completed application with required attachments must be submitted online no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

Online Application for Trumpower Foundation Scholarship Opens March 1

FREDERICK, MD – February 24, 2021: Carroll County residents pursuing post-secondary education will be able to apply for The Harold Glen and Audrey G. Benson Trumpower Foundation Scholarship beginning Monday, March 1, 2021. The completed application with required attachments must be submitted online no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. The scholarship is for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Betty Seligmann’s Legacy Helps Promote Literacy in Frederick County

Betty Seligmann was dedicated to community service, including countless volunteer hours served with the Literacy Council of Frederick County. Through her many years with the Literacy Council and a number of other organizations, she positively influenced many people in the community. Her legacy lives permanently with a fund in her name at The Community Foundation of Frederick County that honors her commitment to helping others through access to literacy resources.
