Pauline Draper Fisher Scholarship Fund

Founded by Ms. Fisher’s estate provisions for graduating seniors of Catoctin High School who are enrolled to attend Towson University.

Mrs. Fisher, a graduate of Towson State College (now Towson University), was an elementary teacher in Florida and Maryland. She retired in 1988, after dedicating 35 years to students. A resident of Thurmont, she was a life-long Orioles fan, and also a fan of Ravens football. In her free time, she enjoyed her family and friends, as well as baking and bowling.

Joseph T. Fiumara Memorial Fund

Founded by Paul Fiumara in memory of his brother for nonprofit organizations that serve children without homes, from a single guardian home, or who are orphaned.

Joseph Fiumara served as a Metropolitan Police Officer in Washington, D.C. for 20 years. He enjoyed directly interacting with Third Police District residents and their children. Mr. Fiumara was always willing to help others in need and often assisted with charitable fundraisers. His generosity and legacy of volunteerism will continue through this fund created in his name.

Established by Paul A. Fiumara, The Mary L. Fiumara Scholarship Fund honors the memory of Mrs. Fiumara and her passion for a catholic education by awarding scholarships for parishioners of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church to attend catholic grade school or high school in Frederick County. As a founding and active member of St. Timothy’s Mrs. Fiumara’s legacy will continue through the children that will pursue a catholic education.
