Garland and Mary Guyton Memorial Fund

Founded by son Daniel C. Guyton to support Global Vision Christian School Broadfording in Hagerstown.

Garland and Mary Guyton raised their family in Frederick County’s Middletown Valley in the close-knit farming and Christian community of Burkittsville. In 1972, the Guytons’ daughter Rebecca and her husband Ralph Wyand played an instrumental role in establishing Broadfording Christian Academy, now known as Global Vision Christian School Broadfording. Today, Rev. Bill Wyand, grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guyton, is the school’s superintendent. Global Vision Christian School Broadfording teaches students from pre-K to the 12th grade and is affiliated with a biblical seminary and graduate school for those interested in Christian ministry. To honor Mr. and Mrs. Guyton’s support for Christian education and their personal connections to the school, their son Daniel Coblentz Guyton established The Garland and Mary Guyton Memorial Fund to support Global Vision Christian School Broadfording.
