Established by the Frederick County Workforce Board, the fund provides educational support in helping Frederick County youth prepare and transition to further education and/or enter the workforce.

Jean Wright Memorial Fund

Founded by husband Harold Wright as an unrestricted fund.

Jean Wright was a mother, volunteer and veterinarian. Born in Ohio, Mrs. Wright moved to Michigan and became one of the first female veterinarians in the state. She married her college sweetheart Harold Wright and gave birth to four wonderful children. As a very accomplished and attractive woman she was also an active volunteer in her local church. After her passing, her husband established The Jean Wright Memorial Fund. The Fund is an unrestricted endowment. Therefore, the Community Foundation is able to use money from the Fund to distribute grants to different nonprofit organizations and charitable causes to meet the most pressing community needs in Mrs. Wright’s name.
