Sandra Crist Scholarship Fund

Founded through Ms. Crist’s estate for students pursuing a career in animal welfare.

Ms. Crist grew up on a farm and had a lifelong love of farming, animals, and agriculture. After graduating from Frederick High School, Ms. Crist attended Frederick Community College, graduated from Shepherd College, and attended Shippensburg State College. She was also a teacher at Hagerstown Junior College and Frederick High School until 1975. She continued her career working for People’s Life Insurance Company, Frederick County National Bank, and Nicklas, Prete and Sinton. Ms. Crist was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson, MD and played in the orchestra with the Yellow Springs concert band.

(SOAR), The Senior Resources Center at Spring Bank Fund was created to support the renovation and operating expenses for the Senior Resource Centers at Spring Bank. This center will focus on the senior population and assisting them to age in place, offering resources to lower income seniors and their caregivers.
