FREDERICK, MD – February 8, 2022: The Lois B. Noffsinger Spurrier Fund has been established with The Community Foundation of Frederick County and becomes one of its more than 750 component charitable funds.
Lois Noffsinger Spurrier, known as “Grammy Lo”, will be remembered for her vivacious storytelling and sharing her love of teaching and music. The fund in her name, founded through her estate provisions, will support the preventative maintenance of the Schaeffer Center of Evangelical Lutheran Church, of which Lois was a lifetime member and taught Sunday school. The fund will also provide scholarships to students attending preschool at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where Lois taught Kindergarten and music for over 20 years. Grammy Lo’s spirit and generosity will be forever remembered and her legacy will support the community for generations to come.
